Description

The White's x Division Road Horween Brown CXL MPM1 is a 6" pattern that honors the rich history of Otto White's footwear production for military servicemen and is based on WWII infantry field and officer dress boots. This adapted MPM1 pattern features a plain toe and triple-stitched counter with a single-piece design for a clean composition that offers both function and durability for daily duty in the modern world, from the workshop to the street. These Division Road White's are characterized by the classic Brown CXL, which is dye-struck on the top grain and features a natural core that reveals the lighter color beneath, particularly in deep scuffs and high-wear areas. Chromexcel by Horween is the original pull-up leather, developed from a nearly century-old secret recipe of techniques, materials, and finishes. It is known for its flexibility, comfort, and durability. This boot is designed in collaboration with Master Shoemaker and now CEO, Eric Kinney, to hallmark the quintessentially Northwest multi-paneled upper that allows for comprehensive rebuilds and pairs with White's exclusive stitchdown construction tradition using their unique hand-sewn and all-leather builds, all refined with our functional design approach that honors the original craftsmanship, history, and lifetime durability with a fresh perspective. This MPM1 uniquely uses the 5050 Last in an accommodating E width, combining the sleek, classic almond-toe dress shape of the MP Last with the more moderate profile and trademark Arch-Ease support of the 55 Last, resulting in a sophisticated military-dress aesthetic and a fully functional work boot. We exclusively enhanced White's hand-sewn welted methods with a tonally corresponding Natural CXL welt to match the natural-finished leather midsole, set atop a Vibram 4014 Christy industrial sole for all-purpose comfort, combined with a single-row, hand-sewn stitchdown to allow greater flexibility and a clean aesthetic for the long haul. Finally, this exclusive MPM1 features a bellows tongue, oxidized eyelets, and is completed with a custom White's collar stamp and a WB x DR collaboration insole stamp, adding refined elements to a rugged make. Made as a hallmark of White's unaltered, hand-sewn traditions and customized to Division Road specifications, this MPM1 has a polished aesthetic for urban environments and is built for all outdoor conditions.

    Notes

This is a hand-sewn, hand-welted stitchdown workwear boot made to withstand a lifetime in challenging conditions, with a focus on durability first. Irregularity is indicative of this rare boot-making process, and as such, each pair is unique. We suggest our customers embrace the character, hand-grade details, and variation of this footwear, as that is what makes it special. This product is not for those seeking a highly refined or lighter-weight build. For more information on White's production, see our White's Factory Tour.

    Sizing

White's sizing is consistent with our old-grade manufacturers, and the 5050 Last in an E Width typically is equal to a White's 55 Last, Viberg, or Tricker's for most feet. Generally, when sizing for White's, we suggest you select a half (.5) size down from a common US boot like Red Wing or Alden, or one-and-a-half (1.5) sizes down from a common US sneaker like Nike or New Balance. Please feel free to Contact Us for assistance.

Our Sizing Guide provides brand-specific Sizing and Last information. For comprehensive information on our footwear, how this product type should fit, and Sizing and Last information on all brands, consult our Footwear Guide.

    Collection: White's

The White’s legacy began in 1853 when Edward White created a solo boot making venture in pre-Civil War Connecticut shoeing loggers and soldiers. His son, John, briefly took his master craft to the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia in 1880 before relocating the business in 1900 to the Pacific Northwest where it remains today. In 1910, John’s son Otto grew the family business into the White Shoe Company based in Spokane, Washington. The White family built a reputation for producing...
